Reverent Paws begins with observation: body language, energy, preferences, routines, history and the things your animal is already telling us.
That means care may look different from one to the next, and even from one day to the next. A walk might become a sniff. Play might become quiet companionship. Training might begin with simply feeling safe enough to engage.
You book the service. We meet the dog who shows up.

Every relationship starts with hello.
I’ll come to your home so we can meet where your animal is most comfortable. We’ll talk about routines, preferences, history, quirks, triggers, favorite things and what helps them feel safe and understood.
Most importantly, your animal gets to meet me, too.
If we’re a good fit, I’ll create their Reverent Paws Animal Profile so future care begins with more than a set of instructions.
Additional Offerings Available After Initial Meet & Greet
Not every animal needs the same thing every day.
An Intentional Visit may include a walk or potty break, feeding, play, enrichment, companionship or simply some quiet time together. What happens within the visit depends on the animal I find when I arrive.
There’s no mileage requirement to hit and no checklist that matters more than the animal.
You book the time. They help decide how we spend it.
Additional animals don’t automatically mean an additional charge when everyone’s needs comfortably fit within the time you’ve booked. If they need more time, we book more time.
Some animals simply need more time.
A 60-minute Intentional Visit gives us more room for households with multiple animals, animals with more involved routines, seniors, puppies, animals who need time to warm up, or anyone whose care just doesn’t fit comfortably into thirty minutes.
The visit may include walking or potty breaks, feeding, play, enrichment, companionship, reinforcement of familiar routines, or simply taking things at their pace.

You choose the visit. They help decide how we spend it.
For multi-animal households, the extra time lets me care for each animal as an individual rather than trying to squeeze everyone into the same thirty minutes.
Sometimes the most useful thing we can offer an animal is quiet.
These sessions combine calm companionship with Reiki as a complementary wellness practice. There is no expectation that an animal lie still, accept touch or participate in any particular way.
They can approach, move away, sleep, watch from across the room or decide they've had enough.
Their participation is always their choice.
Reiki is complementary care and is not a substitute for veterinary care, diagnosis or treatment.

Some skills need the real world.
Field Skills sessions take training outside the home and into carefully selected environments where we can work on things like leash skills, recall foundations, environmental confidence, calm observation, controlled exposure and navigating real-world distractions.
Where we go depends on what we're working on—and the dog we're working with.
Weather and environmental conditions are part of that decision. Heat, storms, unsafe surfaces, crowded conditions or anything else that makes the environment wrong for that dog or that skill may mean changing locations, modifying the session or rescheduling. Good training never requires ignoring what the dog - or the environment - is telling us.
The environment is selected for the skill. The approach is selected for the dog.
Approximately 90 minutes door-to-door
Sometimes the best enrichment starts when we leave the neighborhood.
A Sniffari is a curated outing built around exploration: a nature trail, an interesting walking route, a dog-friendly destination, a private fenced space or somewhere else worth investigating.
The outing is selected for the dog, including their comfort, interests, physical ability and tolerance for the environment.
There is no required distance and no prize for getting somewhere quickly.
The destination isn’t the point. The experience is.
**Weather, temperature, trail conditions and other environmental factors are part of the plan, too. If conditions aren't right for the outing we had in mind, we'll change the plan, choose another adventure or reschedule. Safety always gets the final say.
For dogs who could use a little purposeful practice while we’re together add a 15 minute session on to any Intentional Visit.
We can reinforce everyday skills such as attention, sit, down, stay, place, door manners, leash skills, recall foundations and household manners.
This isn't about drilling commands or demanding perfect obedience. It's about helping your dog understand what we're asking and making successful choices easier.
We work with dogs, not against them.
